Paranormal Newcastle is an excellent book which covers the history of the area, from Roman times to the present. This well researched book is filled with tales of ghosts, UFO’s and so much more.
It is written in an easily accessable and informative style which makes it a real page turner. I certainly enjoyed it and eagerly await the release of Paranormal Edinburgh.

What a pleasant surprise!
I am generally cynical about books about off-beat topics like ghosts and ufos, mystery animals and bizarre events. They always seem to distort the tale as if to add a bit more glamor. Either that or they are ponderous and unexciting in the extreme.
But this book was different. It was none of the above. The author gives us the details that matter and in so doing has made a very readable collection of all that is distinctively odd in the vicinity of Newcastle.
Some books send me to sleep, but not this one. In fact I dared to keep it by my bed so I that every night I could spend a pleasant half hour or so delving into the mysteries of Newcastle. And I was much saddened when it was all over.
Without a doubt I shall be chasing up other books by author Gordon Rutter. Well done!
