Church with full planning permission for conversion into three bedroom single dwelling

Carstairs Junction Church dates from 1879 and is not listed.  The main body of the church is approximately 11 x 16 m and there is an entrance vestibule at the front and at the rear there is a vestry with separate entrance.  The extent of the grounds can be seen on the two images above.  There is a village war memorial on site, this is maintained by the council.  We purchased the church in March 2016 and had an architect draw up plans for a three bedroom single dwelling with mezzanine.  On the basis of these plans we obtained full planning permission and a building warrant.   A change in circumstances means we can’t finish the project, but we would love to see someone else make our vision a reality.  Hence the church is now for sale.

Planning permission was granted in late 2016 and no work has been undertaken.

Located in  Carstairs Junction, South Lanarkshire, five minutes walk from the train station (33 minutes journey time to Edinburgh or Glasgow). mapClick on map for direct link to Google maps.
